How to measure for Stair Treads and Landing Covers

The length of your stair treads are standard lengths but you are required to select the depth you require, either choose from the drop down menu or select a bespoke depth and enter it in the box provided. For the Length, simply measure the length of your step. It would be prudent to allow a 5mm tolerance to reduce unnecessary cutting on site.

For the Depth, simply measure from the back of your step to the front edge, again it would be prudent to allow a tolerance of approximately 2mm. We will use this measurement to determine the internal dimensions of the stair tread cover. The external dimension will be 10mm more to take into account the thickness of the material and the angled nosing. Assuming a 90º step edge, a simple measurement from front to back is all we require.

For Landing Covers, these can be measured in the same way as the Stair Treads. Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
